The Skilled Nominated Visa is a permanent visa. It is known as Subclass 190 and is for people who have qualifications and skills that Australia needs, but can’t get the required pass mark for a Skilled Independent Visa. It is also used by people who can get the pass mark as Skilled Nominated Visas are given priority in the Australian immigration system.
To successfully obtain a Skilled Nominated Visa you must show you have suitable qualifications and/or skills to work in an occupation on the government’s Skilled Occupation List. You must also get 60 points on your points’ assessment and get a nomination from an Australian state or territory participating in the scheme. You have to be under 50-years-old.
